"The most beautiful food film we've ever seen"
- Underground Eats
Join us next Wednesday, August 1st for a fundraiser to benefit the ongoing production of "I Am What I Eat," a food-focused film series by Erik Shirai, of the No Reservations production team.
We had the honor of being featured in Erik's first episode, "The Last Meal," and we want to support him as he embarks on filming episode 2 in Japan.
Erik is setting his sights on Japan to tell the story of Masami Asao. Masami is a specialist of Shojin Ryori Buddhist cuisine for 29 years at the Jokuji temple in central Tokyo. Erik's next installment of "I Am What I Eat" aims to highlight Masami's craft and keep the Shojin Ryori tradition alive.
The event will feature a viewing of the "The Last Meal" film, Q&A with myself, Mike Lee, and Erik Shirai, as well as a sampling of Shojin Ryori cuisine and sake tastings. There will also be a silent auction featuring tickets to future Studiofeast events, Underground Eats events, and food photographs by Alessandro Vecchi.
Stay tuned for more from Studiofeast and we hope to see you there.
